While strolling through the streets of Colaba in SoBo, we stumbled upon a real gem Aseesa, for ethnic Indian wear.
What looked like a tiny store from the outside, was the exact opposite when we stepped in. We could only see ethnic Indian wear lined up neatly on both sides of the shop while the centre was occupied by a huge table where you could lay out your choices and check them out.
On speaking to the manager we found out that Aseesa has been around for almost 10 years now with branches in Bandra, Colaba, Thane and even Ahmedabad (we're so surprised we didn't know about the Lokhandwala one)!
Dealing in mainly cotton garments, Aseesa specializes in daily wear & casual party wear. The clothes are stitched by the inhouse tailors who will also be able to alter the garments for you (they're quite prompt with their work), if need be.
The store has a variety of anarkali suits (INR 5000 and upwards), straight cut kurtas (INR 1,200 and upwards), palazzos, straight pants (perfect for your office) & not-so-heavy wedding wear that can be perfect if you're attending a wedding sometime soon. The pricing variation of the various options that you might have chosen depend mainly on the material and the amount of work that goes into preparing that masterpiece. Aseesa also offers block printed and ajrak printed clothes to choose from.
Visit Aseesa today for your ethnic wear fix and get lost in a world full of options, so much that you won't be able to buy just one.
