What Makes It Awesome?

I am late on a roll in terms of visiting restaurants serving pan Asian cuisine. What's the most difficult part, in this case, is to find a restaurant which does not make a big hole in your pocket. Since most pan Asian cuisine is a bit costlier than the rest of the cuisine. My hunt ended here at 'Asian Town' with a place serving proper Asian food without one needing to spend that much of money. However, vegetarian food pricing was appropriate.

The place apart from the food section also serves some amazing mocktails. Some new flavours to touch and some new combinations to be tried. The decor is the manifestation of "mindblowing ambience". The high ceiling with some artistic work on walls, proper spacing between tables and such a huge space in iconic Kalaghoda shows the ambition on part of the promoters as to match the requirement of this generation.

Pomo Verte is what I really loved amongst all the mocktails we called for. The tropical rhizomatous flavour of galangal adds to the unique taste to natural flavours of pomegranate and litchi though the latter does have a dominating effect overall.

The appetizers section with a plethora of options at your disposal is surely gonna confuse you with as to what to order and what to not. We took a tough decision to drop sushi as one of those and went for the more modern preparations.

-Cheddar Popiah Rolls:- The rolls with cheese usually becomes drier especially the deep fried ones. But this stood out in that aspect with some perfectly fried, less oil and top of the choice chilly garlic sauce. The presentation was 5/5 again. A more fusionish in nature. Recommended
-Sesame Lotus Roots:- Perfect for people who do not want to take the efforts of filtering through the menu. A no brainer for me and I decided to go with it since my friend who accompanied me never had tried this before. Again exceptional, the proper spread of chilli and honey, none having an overriding effect on each other. Recommended

The curries were again a tough choice for me but I resorted to masaman for the simple reason I had khow suey a lot of times in the last 2-3 months. The person who was taking our order ( Nitish or Nitesh, can't recollect it exactly) suggested us to have it with paratha (earlier I had tried the curry with rice on both the occasion) presented me with an opportunity. The curry bang on, the essence of coconut reminds you of the flavours of Se Asia. Recommended.

The dessert is altogether different gameplay. Lot of options to choose from and considering we had a lot of coconut based food we skipped the white cheesecake.

-Sachar:- A dark chocolate dish and my love for dark chocolate continues from 266- the winning room where we had something different but more on European styled. Raspberry evident and the passion fruit compote place on a cookie like how usually the cheesecakes are designed. The texture was perfect and the presentation makes you feel compelled to just keep on clicking photos. Obviously, it has eggs. Recommended
-Creme Brule:- A light dessert and light on sweet as well. A proper family ending to dinner if you ever decide to visit. Neither heavy on pockets, nor on the stomach.

Ambience 5/5
Service 5/5
