Boteco, a restaurant serving delicious Brazilian food has made its way to maximum city, and we couldn’t be more excited.

Tell Me More

A gorgeous restaurant serving a cuisine less known and even lesser seen in India, Boteco was first present in Pune and is now opening in Mumbai.

A very warm and inviting restaurant, at Boteco you can find yellow and blue tiles, wooden tables and cane chairs to lounge on, an exposed brick wall with a guitar and bango hanging from it and colourful grafitti. The new space is located in BKC {lucky you who go to office there} and is extremely spacious with a decorative glass wall on one side.

Food, Glorious Food

If you’re wondering what kind of food to expect here, expect their food to be lively, colourful and flavoursome, all at once.

We really recommend going for the pao de queijo, which is a Brazilian type of bread baked with cheese {which is so delicious} and the rocambole de Espinafre {a spinach roll with cheese and veggies}. The cuisine relies heavily on meat, especially pork and seafood as part of the cuisine so if you’re a non-vegetarian eater, do try out their pork-based dishes, especially the pork momos, linguinca com Mandioca {seasoned pork sausages}, and other mains like the Leitao a Pururuca {roasted belgian pork belly}.

The specialty though is the churrasquiera – which is charcoal grilled BBQ items especially loved in Brazil. You can choose individual dishes such as the tenderloin steak, pork sausage, lamb pizanha, paneer or more. Or you could go for the big grill platter – meat or seafood in which you pay a certain amount {INR 3850 for the meat platter} and get everything meaty on the menu on the table, one after the other – great for a big group.

There would also be a lot of good alcohol to be found here, especially the Brazilian staple – the Caipirinha made of sugarcane liquor, lime and sugar, a lot of margaritas, maritinis and draught beers too.

Here, the starters are priced at INR 395, non-vegetarian mains start at INR 495, and cocktails start at INR 450.

So, We're Saying...

The food {as loved by Pune} is delicious and will hopefully be a good surprise to our taste buds. Go here with your friends and family and make merry while gorging on good food.

Boteco will open on Wednesday, June 21.
