We spoke to a few Mumbaikars on where they visit to get their eyebrows shaped. Here’s what they had to say.
This Juhu resident visits Lin’s Beauty Parlour in Juhu. A popular spot in the western suburbs, Lin’s is slightly pricey, but has a number of offers including nail art, eyebrows, hair treatment, etc. “I don’t go there all the time, but make it a point to go for special occasions such as a wedding, as the prices can get a bit steep”, she said.

A resident of WGU {Women Graduates Union} Hostels in Colaba, this Mumbai-based journalist visits Jean Claude Biguine, an international chain of spas and salons that has branches all over the city. “Since I live in Colaba, I visit this place for my eyebrows,” she says.

For this resident in Marol, Andheri East, visiting a spa is so passé. Instead, Sugham uses an app called ‘At Home Diva’ that is available as a mobile phone app on both Android and Apple devices. “They have services all across the country. All you need to do is book an appointment a week in advance and over a period of time, the algorithm of the app recognizes what you usually choose and accordingly, gives you various discounts to choose from,” she says.

A resident of Nepean Sea Road in South Mumbai, Pooja visits her local beautician who has a salon in her residential complex. “The place is called Makeover Spa and Salon and they open at 11 AM. They are my usual go-to people on special occasions, but when I’m in a hurry I go to other local places –one that opens at 9 AM and the other that stays open till 10 PM. These also depend on my work hours,” she said.

Antara works in Lower Parel, lives five minutes away from her workplace and has found a L’Oreal Spa barely a minute’s walk from her home. “It’s very convenient for me. The salon is pretty close to the railway station and it’s convenient. I usually manage my own makeup, but I go and get my eyebrows treated,” she said.
