Caffe Ritazza is the newest addition to the trending coffee house concept in Mumbai. This Italian concept owned by British MNC comes up with its first outlet in the busy bylanes of Linking road. I like the planning part, especially the kitchen space which is totally different from the open and closed sitting areas. The open area is an ideal place to sit in the evening with a larger group or the place to have a small meeting and discuss ideas. The inner decor has a certain rustic touch to it and has 4-5 tables accommodating smaller groups. Considering even for a cafe type setup, the food option is quite varied especially the non-veg section and more towards the European style of preparation.
-Hazelnut Nutella (Regular size):- We had planned on trying more beverages, hence opted for 8 oz size drinks instead of the bigger one. The Nutella part was thick much to my liking and the classic combination would light your mood for sure. A must have. Recommended
-Chocolate Chip Regular: - Just the usual choco chip made shake without the ice cream part or frappe as one would like to name it. My friend wanted to start off with something more common like eventually moving to some authentic beverages.
-Chocolate Affagato Regular (Espresso):- The concept of affogato always attracts me and you can say that it's my first choice this day if I ever get an opportunity to order the same. Here the ice cream mix was of vanilla and chocolate whereas hot espresso was poured over it to get the strong essence of coffee which certainly is colder due to retaining some properties of ice cream. Recommended
-Cheese Poppers:- Typical poppers with some amazing peri peri mayo. Straight and simple.
-Cottage Cheese Baguette:- A baguette is a long, thin loaf of French bread that is commonly made from basic lean dough. It is distinguishable by its length and crisp crust. This one certainly lacked a bit of crispiness but the filling of cottage cheese was too good. It was melted in the mouth cottage cheese and never experienced by me in a sandwich. VFM 4/5
-Classic Tiramisu:- The best one for the day slightly edging past their beverage menu. The Coffee liquid flavour /cocoa infused inside the pieces of tiramisu was just too good. The cocoa again in quantity was just perfect for me. Not anything more, Not anything less. Packed a punch. Presentation to the point.
-Blueberry Cheesecake:- Another classic from the European dessert treat. But I must say have this before you have the tiramisu, in case you end up ordering both. This one has a more cheesy texture hence better to have it first. On par with expectations.
