How much dessert is too much dessert? No, really! We're never tired of anything sugary, and we're never tired of exploring new cafes or home bakers who create effortless magic. Our find for the week is Cheat Day Bakery. And you'll drool as we tell you why we're in love with them.
Cheat Day Bakery was founded by Drashti Mehta, and she bakes unique and gobsmacking desserts like a Funfetti cake, which basically is your ordinary vanilla cake that's spruced up with colourful sprinkles and frosted with smooth buttercream. We really loved the Pistachio Raspberry and the Hazelnut Praline cake. The first one's a sponge cake filled with chantilly cream and homemade raspberry jam, and frosted with whipped cream. The second one's a chocolate cake that's frosted with chocolate ganache, toasted hazelnut, and hazelnut praline. Drashti makes some killer cookies like the lotus biscoff, coconut, almond fudge, peanut butter, and the Nutella stuffed ones. They all come in a box of six. And if you find comfort in gooey brownies, then go for the Twix brownies. Do not miss out on the salted caramel and Oreo brownies too.
Now what we really wouldn't mind stuffing our fridge with, are the cheesecake jars. Ever heard of a Gulab Jamun cheesecake jar, or a Rasmalai cake jar? We love this fusion of Indian mithai and western desserts. And by now, we're sure that we've convinced you enough to place your orders too!
