Sarangaa is a small restaurant located near Vijay Sales, Prabhadevi. This restaurant is small but the food is worth the price. The interior is all blue that gives an oceanic effect considering this is a coastal food restaurant. The ambience is somewhat home style and so is the food. I went to this place as I am a big fan of Malvani cuisine.
I tried mutton cutlets, jawlaa bhajiya, jawlaa kismur with a prawn thaali and chicken sukka. Now, jawlaa kismur and jawlaa bhajiya are two dishes which can't be found in any random seafood restaurant. They're classic dry fish preparations that taste best when had in Malvani restaurants. Prawns thaali had tawa fry prawns with fish curry (fish of the day) with solkadi, some salad and bhajani wade on the side. The chicken sukka had a coconut base and it was a bit spicy. The food quality of this place is quite decent. The cleanliness levels are good too. Some dishes like mutton cutlets are worthy of a try. So if you love Maharashtrian food and especially if you are fond of Malvani cuisine, then you can surely try Sarangaa at Prabhadevi.
