Meat lovers, a new place by the name of Kebab Gunj has opened up in Colaba {near Radio club}, and it's an ode to the home sick North Indians.
Kebab Gung is a small takeaway and a delivery place, though they do have a seating area for the walk-ins, in case you're looking to devour their freshly cooked kebabs, soft and juicy as hell.
It has been started off by brothers, Rahul and Kasim, and the idea is to serve Lucknowi and Delhi style dishes to the people of Mumbai.
I like how affordable this place is. Most of the dishes are priced between INR 160 to INR 300. The favourite item on the menu is definitely the galouti kebabs, doing justice to its authenticity. The menu also offers murgh malai tikka, Afghani murgh, murgh tangdi, seekh kebab, chicken and mutton biryani and more. In all honesty, the food reminded me of Captain Kebabs back in Chandini Chowk in Old Delhi, and that my friend, is a huge plus.
They also serve paneer tikka and paneer tikka rolls for the vegetarians - which I especially liked considering the place is clearly so meat heavy.
