Rasoi Kitchen
As things are getting normal post lockdown, there are few pockets of the area coming up with new restaurants, one such came on my radar was this one near my area in Ramee Guestline Dadar. I went on Sunday afternoon.
Staff was well equipped with facemasks and hand gloves and sanitization bottle at each table so felt pretty safe. This seems the new normal for at least a few months.
The ambience is woody and warm. Seats are well spread out and could handle ~80 guests at a time I guess. Staff experience of service and giving rightful suggestions were welcomed and appreciated especially when it came to their inhouse drinks.
We started off with drinks like Long Island Iced Tea, Rasoi’s Gin & Tonic, Pan Pasand and Rasoi Inspired Cocktail. All drinks were well balanced with spirits. Their inhouse creation is worth a try as compared to other places where it usually turns out to be too sweet or highly experimental. I recommend Rasoi’s Gin and Tonic personally as its light, refreshing and perfect for lunch.
In starters, we kicked off with assorted dimsums i.e. Spicy Crab cheese, Chicken Enoki, Mixed Seafood and Prawn Har Gao. They were super hot, steamed perfectly and each filling had its distinct deliciousness. I personally loved Spicy Crab cheese dimsum the most.
Later we tried Dahi ke kebab, Tawa Jheenga and Murg Multani Tikka. Dahi ke kebab and The Tikkas were deliciously indulgent with its richness in soft texture, perfect marination of spices and extremely well cooked. Tawa Jheenga on other hand due to mayo and lemony texture felt a tad bit more soury however it was a great dish given the size and portion.
In mains we tried something different in indian curry i.e. their speciality Dhaniya Mirch da Kukkar, Nukkad Wali Biryani (Chicken) with assorted bread and Pad Thai noodles veg. The Dhaniya curry is cooked in mutton broth, green in color with chicken legs into it. It tasted similar to paya and gave more of a dhabha feel to the curry, a nice unique main to try out there whereas the biryani apart from having some overpowering of elaichi was really well made. Pad thai noodles are a great option with well-balanced condiments and fresh ingredients.
We ended off with their in-house Kulfi Falooda (Rating 5/5). It was a grand ending right from the presentation to the taste, this deconstructed dessert is sure to be the best selling item and highly recommended to try.
Overall a great place for the family to dine in with. Would love to visit again
