Steaming chai, pakora and comfort food – High on Tea is Bandra’s newest café and it’s arrived right in time for the rains.

Pot And Kettle

As the name suggests, this café serving up tea, coffee and snacky equivalents has opened up a cosy spot in Pali Naka. On the menu, there are several options for tea – a few healthy {Darjeeling, oolong, white tea; or several herbal, fruity types}. We tried a simple adrak chai {single cup for INR 80 and a pot for INR 150}. You can also have a kadha, kashmiri kahwa or, mulled wine too.

For accompaniments, they have bun maska and jam, mac and cheese balls, samosas, French fries, and pakora – everything to make you feel comforted on a damp day.

What Else?

They offer all-day breakfast, yay, with French toast and nutella, scrambled eggs with croissant, eggs florentine, more egg options and even healthier vegan bowls, brown rice poha and parfaits. Other than that, there are salads, waffles, sandwiches, crepes and different pastas to indulge in.

The ambiance is comfortable and like a blanket – a covered outdoor seating with the roof draped in fairy lights, wooden swings and benches, while the indoor seating is floor gaddas, charpoys and stools. High on Tea was earlier a popular hangout in Kandivali {written about by us here} and we’re glad it has made its way to Bandra.

So, We're Saying...

Although it’s slightly pricey, we’re happy to have this café in the neighbourhood. If you are feeling stranded, don’t worry, they’ll deliver to your home while the rain drops keep falling on your head.
