What Makes It Awesome?

Hitchki is one of my favourite place to be to either experience Bollywood nightlife or to hang out with friends and try some of their fusion preparations. Having visited the other 3 outlets this year, we decided to visit the newest outlet in the city to try some of their new and recent additions to the menu in all the section of the menu. The place is quite big as compared to their Powai outlet and had a good amount of crowd considering it was lunch hours on a weekday.

Mr Sujay assisted us in choosing the right dish whenever needed and with timely service.

Poke on the go:- One of the two new additions to the mocktails section, this drink is more on the healthier side with a mix of cantaloupe melons and papaya giving it a greenish texture ( taking the essence from the papaya fruit) and tastes perfect. The sweetness is restricted to the fructose base and that's what I love.

Minions:- Best of the "Rs 175" mocktail list and my favourite to taste whenever I visit Hitchki. Served in a bigger version of a martini glass, this rick mixture of guava and watermelon without any ice cubes gives its a consistent taste throughout the drink. Recommended

He-man:- A concentrated red bull plus a rich grenadine syrup give birth to this concoction of a drink. Very flavourful and would ensure you stay awake for a long time, xD

Bread ka Badshah:- A drastic change in the proportion of components used from the last time I visited with the cheese part cut in nearly half, paving way for some in house masala to spice it up. The portion size did surprise me and the bread is still as soft as it used to be. Still Recommended,

Nacho Nacho :- Another dish with a change in presentation though the taste remains the same. The kidney beans at times were totally bland, though properly cooked. The tortilla chips were fresh and the dish tasted good.

Schezwan chale mushroom:- Stuffed mushrooms are tossed in schezwan sauce with a total of 6 pieces served. VFM 4/5 for this dish. The taste is totally oriental though the mushrooms could have been a bit soft at times. Recommended

Skewer ke Bachhon Yeh paneer humko dede :- One of the most intriguing ideas of serving the paneer skewer with 3 different types of dips served. The skewer as in many cases isn't large in size, rather 3 small portions are served. The spicy groundnut dip was quite interesting and the teriyaki sesame had a sweetish side to it. Recommended for someone who wants to try something different.

Pindi Chole:- This is something I have always called for from the main course section and never disappointed. 2 pieces of aloo paratha with some chota chana based chole and chopped onions. Typical Indian style dish for 1 person. Highly recommended.

The dessert section has some amazing additions to the already amazing desserts which were served earlier.

Tareekh pe Tareekh:- Winner of the night in terms of the composition of items, quality and quantity served. The cake is made of date and is served hot immersed in a small quantity of toffee sauce which is cold and topped with pecan nut which is native to Mexico and the southern United States. The cake was smooth and delicious, to say the least. Recommended

Chocolate lava kulfi:- Cold stick of kulfi dipped into hot molten lava cake. The taste does mix up quite well as I did have a different perception as to, will it or will it not? A good presentable dish in all.
