Asian Town is one of the best restaurants serving great Pan Asian food. Located in Kala Ghoda, this restaurant has an elaborate food menu to offer to range from Asian, Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Malaysian, Korean and Burmese. The menu has symbols for easy understanding and order placing like Vegan, Jain, Chef recommendation, Vegetarian and Non-Vegetarian.
The service is spectacular, and the staff is friendly and well informed. We got one of the corner tables which had a very beautiful Buddha painting on the wall. The interiors are simple and elegant.
Coming to the F&B, we ordered
For drinks we ordered
🔸 Always Virgin – A super tasty mocktail made from Peach and saffron Jam, a few apple cubes, Galangal (Japanese Ginger) and Ginger Ale. The taste and presentation of this were superb. Highly recommended.
🔸 Macha Handshake – A simple yet flavorful milkshake made from Macha Green tea. Condense milk was used to give that right amount of sweetness to the milkshake. If you like having a milkshake, you should try this one.
We started with Salad,
🔸 Smokey Town Chicken with Avocado – One of the best salads I have had this year. Salad made with Chestnut, bell pepper, Raw mango, chicken and Avocado. The Sweet chilli dressing was the highlight of the salad. Tangy & sweet flavour is something I like. Would highly recommend this salad.
For Appetizer, we ordered
🔸 Sui Mai Dim sum- Four pieces of hot dim sum in Yellow colour with steamed chicken with Black beans & Pak Choy. Super tasty and flavorful.
🔸 Char-Grilled Gai Yang – Soft well-marinated Chicken served in Thai style and grilled on skewers. The peanut sauce served with it was very tasty. Went well with the chicken.
🔸 Burmese Khao Suey - I am a big fan of Burmese Khao suey so ordered it with Chicken for mains. All condiments were served separately along with Noodle, Egg, and chicken in a bowl. The Curry was served separately in a kettle. Highly impressed with the taste and the presentation of serving the Khao Suey.
For dessert, we ordered
🔸 Mud Pie – Awww!! This was wow. Dark Rum Flavored chocolate pie served with Vanilla ice-cream in a Martini Glass. If you like liquored desserts, simply go for this one.
🔸 Sacher – One of the best desserts to end the meal on a sweet note. The super-soft dark chocolate mousse on a soft cookie tart was yummy. Perfect in taste and softness. The presentation was also very nice.
Our overall experience was very nice in an Asian town. Would be visiting them again very soon for the Salad and the Khow suey and trying few more items on their menu.
