Mockingbird Café has been around for ages and we think it’s time we talked about how cute and cosy this place is for an intimate date, brunching with the squad or quality time by yourself.

Tell Me More

Mockingbird café in Churchgate is a cute place if you’re looking to spend quality time by yourself, or need a date spot. If you’re a book lover then this place will stand out for you. They have witty literature puns for us book hoarders and even a tiny reading corner with a minuscule library. Come rainy days, curl up and make yourself comfortable whilst reading a book.

Its proximity to the sea makes for a befitting ambience. And if you’re looking out the window, it’s the one that makes for great Instagram content. #pensive.

Chow Down

The menu is fairly diverse in terms of all the dishes it offers. We love akuri on toast, kheema ghotala, and of course, their pizzas {stone-baked and thin-crusted} and pastas are also done really well.

It’s a hidden gem for Sunday brunch scenes. Got nothing planned for weekend? Get on the local to Churchgate and order yourself a nice breakfast spread. They do all types of eggs, choco-chip pancakes, hash browns and even a vegetarian/non-vegetarian breakfast platter.

Sip On

The sangrias. We cannot emphasise enough how delicious the sangrias are here {red, white, and rose}.

And the ones who enjoy puns, have a look at their bar menu and be highly amused. There’s Romeo and Julep {INR 350}, cocktail of the two cities {INR 500} – for some a Dickens classic but a mockingbird classic in this cafe. Then there’s your gin eyre {INR 400}.

#LBBTip: If you’d rather not go the alcohol way, they do the freshest smoothies and a great selection of mocktails. Try out the Ping Pong {INR 165} for a taste of fresh pomegranate, raspberries and mint.

So, We're Saying...

Mockingbird is the café you go to when you’re looking to escape the rush. Everything’s calmer, prettier and lovelier in this place. Keep your phones aside, and bask in the literary puns.
