What Makes It Awesome?

White Charcoal is a beautiful place located on level 2 of Empresa hotel, Andheri. Focusing on Indian cuisine this place is owned by chef Ajay Chopra who has curated the menu very wisely by keeping each dish and various perspective in mind.

Basically white charcoal stands for white as pure, elegant and charcoal as dark in nature this is what the ambience defines, it has black and white ambience with so elegant hanging lamps and bar.

Special thanks to Mr.Akash and Birendra for suggesting and describing each dish so wisely.

Starting off with what we had:

Mocktails:

India Itch :
truly a refreshing one to start off. Ginger and litchi with khus, the flavours of litchi and spiciness of ginger were very well mixed.

Strawberry Sunset :
It was quite good. A combination of peach, orange and strawberry! The tanginess was very well balanced!

Food:

Started with amuse bochee which was a before meal appetizer to have. it was bite-sized compressed pineapple tossed in with chilli powder.

Dahi Bhalla Icecream :
Yes, u heard it right. Dahi Bhalla our very own regular chaat with some fusion. Dahi Bhalla in the form of ice-cream served with dal moth chaat and tamarind chutney.

Torched Paneer Rasgulla Tikka:
Paneer balls stuffed with raisins, corn served on avocado paste torched with fire i.e. lighter and topped with crispy papad. It had a sweet taste which represents the rasgulla tikkas. Absolutely loved it!

Crispy Paneer Fritters :
Paneer on the outer side with bhindi stuffed with chutney inside made to crisp. Each bite was just so delicious with the fluffy paneer and kurkuri bhindi, served with their signature raita!

Main Course is something worth a wait at this place.

So we tried dishes which represented north and west India.

Taste of Himalayas :
Butter Roti served with two types of sabzi.
Aloo sabzi with gravy and Himalayan saag sabzi basically a combination of spinach and mustard leaves topped with oozing butter. Loved it!

Gujarati Sev Tamatar:
Tamatar sabzi plated with crispy bhakari each layer had tomato sabzi topped with Sev and some onions.it was good in taste just lacked some sweetness to balance the flavours.

Desserts :
Saffron Tres Leche :
Milk Cake which was outstanding delicious in taste.textures of milk with saffron flavours and whipped cream.Spanish Dessert with an indian twist!

Chocolate Salt and Pepper Ice-cream :
Something really innovative, Dark chocolate cake with pepper ice cream and some Lonavala chikki. Truly it was a star dish for all the chocolate lovers! Highly recommended Dessert.

So White charcoal is something worth a visit. It has everything on its menu. Had an amazing experience!
