Firki – Visiting my first restaurant after Covid outbreak. Was in mood to try out their thali because of the pricing. So it costs Rs. 499/- plus 5% taxes that’s ~Rs. 524/- per person. I thought what a great deal this looks to me given the images I saw online about its ambience and the thali.
Ofcourse upon entering (the Riso entrance), the preliminary Covid checks were done like temperature, hand sanitizing and spray sanitizing on self by those men and were taken towards our seating.
So it’s a typical Marwari/Gujarati thali that one can expect. There are many places under different brandings so one knows what to expect. Spread of dishes were good enough, taste wise all the sabjis, dals, kadis, farsans were good. P.s. my most fav thing out there was Samosas. The inside filling of it was definitely I never had anywhere else and I counted 7 samosas I ended up eating.
Staff is Marwari/gujarati which adds to its overall ambience/setup, so that’s great touch.
Some improvements I could think they can inculcate would have been, we needed hot hot jalebis but everytime we had it were in normal room temperature state and secondly, by getting khichdi at the start of our meal only made it cold as ever (I think they should consider giving these only towards the end, which many other thali places follow too).
It’s a great family place, I can surely see many familys flocking this place towards Friday-Saturday-Sunday for a retreat. I personally would again like to visit soon and I rate this place a 4 overall.
