We revisited the old charm of Mogul Sarai, Bandra Station’s all-night star eatery and here’s why you should head there in case you’re hungry during the devil’s hour.

To anybody who visits the Bandra station everyday, the madness engulfs you as soon as you enter the lanes towards it. There are eateries everywhere {Bombay Burgers, Darbar-E-Lazzat, Cafe Milan and a hundred stalls}. Mogul Sarai, on the other hand, resides silently near the Citibank ATM on the corner and only opens at 7pm, and comes to life slowly. By midnight, you’ll see a hoard of night owls hanging outside and inside.

As the name suggests, the eatery dishes out lip-smacking Mughlai all night at standard rates. The catch with Mogul Sarai is its ambience – some may find it shady, but for some, eating at this place is a part of their after-party regime. Their murg Zaffrani biryani {INR 240} has loyalists and their mutton rogan josh {INR 250}, evangelists. They also serve Chinese in case your stomach demands noodles and schezwan to seal the night. In case you don’t want to step out, they home deliver too.

The drinks menu has the standard lemonade, cold drinks, cold coffee and even lassi, starting at INR 50.

They are open till 5 in the morning and don’t bat an eyelid at making you stuff yourself after a long night of drinking. So, plonk yourself at one of the tables and order yourself some sobriety with their greasy dishes {just what you need to dodge a hangover}.
