What Makes It Awesome
If we said thali, your first thoughts would be Maharashtrian or Gujarati, however K Bhagat Tarachand is one of the very few restaurants in town where thali means authentic Punjabi {and a little bit of Sindhi maybe}.This thali doesn't make you full, it makes you high; high on food. Each thali serves upto a variety of three piping hot subzis, sumptuous dal, gut-relaxing chaas, rice, a sweet dish, naram phulkas {they're also drenched in desi ghee and Amul butter} and a crispy papad. Their thalis are priced at INR 250 and upwards depending on the combo options you choose from. If you're someone who gets confused about what to eat at a restaurant, these thalis are just for you; you get all the goodness on one plate without having to choose from a gazillion options {we get you, don't we?}. You cannot share your thalis {which is mentioned clearly even on their menu}.
If you're unsure about finishing everything in a thaali, you can order from their à la carte menu. We'd recommend you call for their papad churi {which is one of their signature appetizers}, and their dal fry. Don't forget to call for their mildly spiced chhaas aka Kutchi beer {which is also served in beer bottles} which is the perfect accompaniment to this beautiful experience.

Owing to its popularity, the restaurant attracts a lot of crowd on weekdays as well as weekends. We'd suggest you avoid visiting during peak hours.
