What Makes It Awesome?

New Place alert!

Oheka, located at Hill Road - Bandra, is one of the happening restaurants. It is on the 3rd floor and is divided into two parts, the indoor which is dark and perfect for a party with amazing and vibrant colours seating arrangement, neon light signboards and loud party music. The other is the outside pool-side seating arrangement, best for couples to enjoy their dinner.

We went there yesterday and got a table at the poolside (since very few restaurants have this kind of seating arrangement by the pool) The services are top-notch and the prices are reasonable.

From the Bar menu, we ordered
Oheka Special Cocktail – An excellent blend of Vodka, Cucumber, Lemon Juice & Kaffir Syrup. Very refreshing and a perfect drink to start the evening. Loved it till the last sip.

Berbera Koffee – A combination of Cold brew coffee and chocolate bitter along with Vodka. This drink is typically made in Gin, but on request, they made it with Vodka. Simply loved it. Do try this combination.

Virgin Mojito – My all-time favourite is virgin mojito which is very refreshing and just perfect to go along with any food at any time.

Lemon Grass Cooler – Served in a tall glass, almost like a mojito, but had a mild lemongrass taste which made the drink different.

From the Food menu, we ordered
Chicken Baida Roti – Very few restaurants have this item on their menu. Was happy to order this and even more glad since it was yummy. Super tasty egg paratha with minced chicken and perfect stuffing. The chutney served with it was making it a perfect combination.

Fish Goujons – Seven pieces of crispy and perfectly deep-fried fish fingers served with tartar sauce. The fish-fingers was tasty and best to go along with the drinks. Pickled Carrot and Cucumber salad by the side were tasty and had a sweet and tangy taste.

Cheese Corn Scallion Cigars – Six pieces of baked filo pastry stuffed with cheese, scallions, and American corn. The combination is divine & a must-try item on the menu. The mayo dip by the side was complimenting it so well.

Parmesan Crusted Chicken – Chicken breast piece covered with breadcrumbs and deep-fried served with mustard mash potato and Mushroom pepper sauce. The Chicken was super yummy & the highlight of this dish was the Mushroom sauce.

Banana Leaf Steam Fish – I ordered this thinking it would be like a “Patra ni machi” a typical Parsi fish which is fish covered with chutney and wrapped in a banana leaf and then steamed. Though this dish was completely different, as it was a steam fish fillet (Basa) served on a banana leaf. the fish was soft and tasty and served on a bed of couscous Upma along with cherry tomato and moilee (Typically a fish curry made of coconut). For garnishing, they used crispy deep-fried okra (bhindi) which was super yummy. As far as the name of this dish is a concern, maybe they should consider changing the name on the menu.

As always, my meal is incomplete without dessert, so we ordered

Icecream Tub – Not sure how did they come up with the name of this dessert. It’s an ice-cream with masala chai flavour. Served with cookie crumble, caramel popcorn and honeycomb. A good dessert for those who like chai.

Almond & Berry – Almond Cake served with Blueberry ice-cream and a white chocolate ring covered in gold dust. Was tasty and perfect for my sweet tooth

Highly recommended!
