The Grammar Room in Mehrauli is backed by Olive Bar & Kitchen and while we always talk about the food this time I'm here to talk about what a stunner the place looks like. They’ve got the very cool tropical theme going on with big windows, white walls, floral cushions and ample lighting. So, let's dive into how you can recreate the same look.

The Chairs

The indoor seating has round wicker armchairs in walnut finish with blue fabric, and these are a good match for them. I also found 2 colour options on Pepperfry, this one comes with yellow fabric and this one with green. If you’re looking for the same appeal in a different shape here's a square-shaped option. You can also spot on the sides wooden chairs that don’t occupy as much space compared to the armchairs, find similar options here and here. Now, if the Chandigarh Chair is your vibe, here are 7 places you can buy it from. For outdoor furniture, they seem to have wicker furniture, and you can get a similar set of 4 (3 chairs and a table) here.

Great Lighting

The Grammar Room has large windows as its primary source of natural light, and when it's not too sunny outside, you'll find contemporary lighting fixtures throughout the cafe. Beautiful, minimal glass pendant lights hang from the ceiling and if you've been searching for something identical this is a must-buy. Most tables feature a floor pendant lamp, for a cosier atmosphere. This is similar to what the restaurant has, but if you're up for a little experimenting check out this one. For a more minimalist look, we found this floor lamp from IKEA and this one which is not a pendant light but super chic and elegant. Talking about stylish and sleek, this shelf lamp also deserves a mention. Coming to the outdoors, fairy lights have been wrapped around trees, and for similar lighting options I suggest you checkout Glimmer Lights as they have a bunch to choose from in different shapes and sizes, you can read about 11 options here.

Beautiful Floor Tiling

The tiling is very well done and honestly, 50% responsible for the way the place looks. The best way I can describe the colour is turquoise-ish oxford blue with a geometric pattern. Kajaria Tiles has a bunch of floor tiling options you could check out. More options online can be found at Orient Bells and The Tiles Store.

Tip: Adding tiling to a place can be a super expensive and time-consuming process. If you’re looking for a quicker and cheaper alternative consider buying rugs. Here are 16 brands you can buy from online.

Lots Of Greenery

Very evident, the restaurant is a parent to many plants indoors and outdoors. There’s a lot of greenery in and around the place (you literally have a forest view from outside) and so one of the fastest and probably most affordable options to get The Grammar Room vibe to any place is adding a lot of greenery. Getting a plant can be a personal choice, depending upon the space you have and the amount of care you can give to them. To help guide your decision take a look at these 14 indoor plants and matching planters for them. For small spaces, check out these 11 compact planters and the perfect plants to go with them. Already a plant parent? here are some 9 planters for your home. If you’ve no time to look after real plants check out these artificial ones that would work just fine.

Printed Cushions

There are printed cushions (mostly botanical) everywhere. You’ll mainly spot them on the armchairs and outdoor seating area. When it comes to buying it for yourself, there are a plethora of options to choose from, like this set of 2 reversible cushion covers, for a little bit of jazz this one with gold accents and tassels. If you’re looking to add blues consider this set of 6 cushion covers, this one's a little subtle in colour but has a lovely print. And this if you’re looking for a rectangular cushion cover rather than a square.

Tip: Can’t get enough? Here are 20 brands that do all types of cushion covers.

Minimal Tableware

Since we’re talking about getting the look of a restaurant, cutlery has to make it to the list. From what I’ve noticed they serve in minimalist cutlery in grey and white colours. This grey set of 4 matte plates is identical to theirs. This set of 6 is perfect for two people but if you're planning to buy a full dinner set this one's a great option that'll have you sorted for a table of 4. For bowls, they have the white ones with a brown border and I found this soup bowl to be similar to theirs. If you like this white and brown aesthetic, check out this set of 2 (bowl and plate).
