What Makes It Awesome

If you're looking for upscale Levantine cuisine in the city, look no further than Rue Du Liban. This contemporary restaurant owned by Jay Mehta (who also owns Gustoso), serves up classic Levantine flavours in a contemporary format. The restaurant celebrates not only the food, but also the hospitality of the Lebanese people, and promises a warm dining experience.

While we are still dining in, you can opt to order their Levantine specialities right to your home via their website. On the menu are heartwarming options like the traditional Lentil Soup (perfect for the Monsoon weather, I say), hummus served with soft pita bread, cold and warm mezzes that are perfect for sharing, their smoky charcoal-grilled meats, house specials and how can we forget the desserts.

They won't just deliver to your home in Mumbai, they will also deliver it to Alibaug (only on Saturdays at the moment). If you wish to place an order from Alibaug, you will need to bill a minimum of INR 3000 (not hard to do, the restaurant is pricey), and pay an additional INR 300 delivery charge.

My particular favourites from their menu include the Soujok (a housemade spicy lamb sausage) and we hear the Arnabit Bel Fern or whole roasted cauliflower is a must-try.

Pro-Tip

Place your order by 4PM on Friday for your Saturday meal. You will have to pick up the parcel from the Alibaug Jetty at 11.30 AM on Saturday morning.
