We’ve rounded up the cafes and restaurants in Mumbai that organise regular classes, followed by a fun dancing social. Sway your way to these places.

SamBar and Pub

With their Trippy Latin nights, SamBar is the place to be if you’re looking to get into the Latin groove. Here they have salsa, jive, and bachata every Tuesday from 9.30pm until 1.30am.

There’s no dress code, or the need to bring in your partner. Just go there, mingle and dance away to glory. The class is led by Rahul Handa, and walk-ins are accepted. The classes are free of cost, and have a lovely social scene going on here.

Café Zoe

The dance that originated in Harlem, New York has been around in Mumbai for a while now, and you can learn it at Cafe Zoe, Fun Republic, and even at Tonic, generally on Sunday. That’s right, hop your way to Lindy Hop, which begins as a workshop. Here they prepare with simple steps, and techniques, and basically amp up before the chill social afterwards. The workshop is for INR 200.

The fun begins when the floor is opened up to everyone, and everyone can join in to dance, and have a jolly good time. In fact, there’s be advanced dancers on the floor to teach you how to Lindy Hop your way.
