A new South Indian eatery has opened up in Lower Parel by the name of South High Restaurant & Bar and it’s serving prawn dosa and many more interesting items.

Chow Down

South High Kitchen not only serves non-vegetarian dishes but it also serves alcohol, and that sire, is its USP. With its authenticity in terms of spices and preparation, a lot of the dishes have been inspired from Mangalore, Andhra Pradesh and around. You also need to get your hands on Karanama dosa {made with tacos stuffing}.

Moving on, there’s podi appam {INR 145}, mooru kari idli, and a special quick gun Murugan idli {INR 195} served with the famous gun powder and ghee. As for the carnivores, some of the standout dishes include curry leaf chicken, katal dosa {served with filling of crab or prawns}, chicken mulgai idli and meen da gassi {our choice would be prawns which is cooked in coconut-based Mangalorean spices}.

Sip on

There’s nothing more exciting than going out for your idli and vada, and get served a pint of beer. South High has an impressive bar menu, perfect to cool down your taste buds.

In case you’re looking to try something unique, our bets are on the aam panna cocktail and the imli soda. Or if you’re daring enough, a glass of R & R {a mix of rum and rasam}, which will set you back by INR 425.

All in all, their signature cocktails is the section we found to be unique, and recommend you try out.

So, We're Saying...

South High caters to both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. The dishes are on point with their authentic flavours and spices, the cocktails take you back to the backwaters. And though it’s definitely not where you go on a budget, it’s worth the price.
