With 2 of my closest friends staying in Bandra, Bastian has been one of the places we go to for Brunch without fail whenever I visit. The brunch menu has a little bit of everything. It also gives you the options to choose something salty, sweet or a combination of both to satisfy your taste buds. Our favourite dish is the smoked pork belly benedict which is pork belly, eggs benedict, hollandaise,  charred veggies, chilli aioli on a delicious English muffin. Its finger-licking good. Paired with the strawberry bellini,  uts perfect. We also tried the spicy dan noodles in peanut broth served with tofu, mushrooms, kimchi and a poached egg. The dish had good flavours overall but wasn't spicy at all. The grilled prawns which is a gluten-free option on the menu is my next favourite. The prawns are grilled to perfection and served with the perfect pumpkin puree, sauté ed green and chilli oil. You must try this.  The Bastian bird was the dish we tried next - chicken katsu, jalapeños, pickles, spicy aioli in the delicious fried mantou bread topped with condensed milk.it was a pretty good sandwich and the condensed milk brought a depth of flavour which was unexpectedly good. Could have used a little more sauce as the sandwich felt a little dry. A great sandwich overall and the katsu was just spot on. The mantou bread was so so so good that we actually ordered just the bread separately. The ambience is cosy and warm and with the best company, Bastian is always a treat for the soul. So next time you plan a brunch with friends, Bastian is the place to be!
