What Makes It Awesome

We're always thrilled when we discover some new food joint or delivery service. The heart is happy and the belly is happier. And adding to our joy is the Maanglorean House from Chembur. A delivery joint that does Mangalorean food right. Now here's what you can order to satiate your south Indian cravings.

This joint has authentic homemade (and mom-made) food from Karnataka and there's nothing not to love. Start with breakfast options like the Vodpalai Dosa, or the Ragi Neer Dosa, a specialty that's made using ragi batter and served with chutney. You'll get six pieces for INR 99 only (we're loving the pricing here) For lunch, there are scrumptious options like the Kori Rotti. Kori refers to chicken in the Tulu language. The 'rotti' is served with a red-chilli based chicken coconut curry and crips dry wafers made from boiled rice. Now that's a very wholesome meal for INR 299 only. Then there's also another specialty called the Semadutte, which basically is a famous Mangalorean rice noodle dish, served with chicken or onion curry.

If you're looking for some comfort food, there's ghee rice, or the legendary combination of neer dosa and chicken sukka that you can go for. But if you want to keep things simple, then the Maanglorean House some kickass burgers for you too. The BBQ chicken burger is the real deal. And if meat isn't your thing, there's a vegan sweet potato peri-peri burger that's pretty awesome too. Pasta lovers, you may want to order their garlic shrimp fettuccine. This one's an Asian twist to the lemon garlic fettuccine, and gets sweeter and spicier with every bite you take.

We love the variety here and everything's within our budget. The best part is that they also do gobsmacking Chinese food so they've won our hearts anyway. What about you?

Pro-Tip

This joint also accepts pre-orders, in case you're looking to order in bulk for any gathering or event. Just make sure you place the orders 24 to 48 hours in advance. The menu changes everyday so make sure you call and check what's available on the day you want to order a meal.
