Veranda, Located in one of Mumbai's oldest Hotel The Commando (Now called Executive Enclave), this place has a European vibe and interiors. You have ample options for seating, offering enough privacy and comfort.
They also have live music on the weekends.
The menu has quirky names with a fusion of famous fictional and non-fictional characters. It offers Indian dishes with a modern twist.
The service staff knows the menu very well and help you in choosing your order.
We began with Pesto Paneer Tikka and Mark Zucchini Berg. Pesto Paneer is a fusion of marinated paneer in pesto which will cheer you up. Mark Zucchini Berg is an innovative version of aloo tikkis. For Mains, they offer a nice combo which will be filling for one person. We had Butter Paneer which is their signature preparation. It is served with raita and laccha parathas. Its taste was a bit too much on the sweeter side. Again sweet lovers will take a liking to it.
We also had Chicken Chettinad. It is served with rice and mini podi idlis. One of the finest and most authentic I have ever had. The podi idlis nicely complement the spicy chicken. For desert, all our Indian traditional sweets are on offer again with a very nice twist. We had Masala cutting kulfi. Its small cubes off kulfi dipped in masala tea flavoured cream. After the spicy Chicken, we gobbled it so fast that we were left wanting for more.
