ViaBombay:
So I visited Via Bombay recently. I wanted to visit this place since the day it opened and finally, I got a chance. So this place is owned by Mr Ashish Sajnani and is located in hotel Jewel of Chembur.
It's more of a family place with a good pleasant and comforting vibe. The cuisine served is Indian but diverse. They have a good spread menu.
I appreciate the service and the hospitality I was treated with.
What I Tried?
DRUMSTICK SOUP
This was unique and a great one to begin my meal with.
STARTERS
MAHARASHTRIAN PLATTER
A paradise for a Maharashtrian indeed. Also, not just Maharashtrians, but every Mumbaikar too.
It comprises Dal Vada, Sabundana Vada, Veg cutlet, batata vada and most importantly Kotimbir wadi.
They served all of these with 3 chutneys - tamarind chutney, spicy chutney and dry garlic powder. Recommended.
ANDHRA CHICKEN
Andhra food is definitely spicy and this is a spice tour along with veggies like peppers and onions.
MAINS
CHICKEN SUKHA
I had a tough time choosing another dish after I saw Butter Chicken in the menu however I wanted to try something different. This was South Indian style sukha chicken with bones coated with delicious marinade gravy. Recommended.
DESSERT
STRAWBERRY CREAM
Season's delight is strawberry cream. Here they call it From Mahabaleshwar to Bombay. The strawberries were irresistible and the glass was hard to share. The cream was perfectly whipped and fresh with pure sweetness. It's a treat you shouldn't miss this season.
KULFI FALOODA
Absolutely loved how well they served this dessert. Over a weighing chain plate which certainly made me think "Do I have to weigh my calories consumed or rather just relish this sinfully yummy dessert"
It was a really nice lunch and I had a great time. As usual, the place was HOUSEFULL. The food here was absolutely impressive and I wasn't ashamed to lick my fingers.
