With his profound knowledge and expertise, Chef Rahul has designed a tempting authentic south Indian menu for Vanakkam Café. The menu is an amalgamation of recipes lost and forgotten from southern India and aims to take inspiration from various states rather than taking a general approach to south Indian cuisine. It takes one to a tour of south India as they have authentic dishes from the states of Kerela, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka.
Be it breakfast, lunch or dinner this place has an extensive menu which offers great food for every meal. Authentic breakfast which is priced at just INR 199 includes Mini Masala Dosa, Idli, Medu Vada, Pongal/Upma, Pineapple Sheera and All-Time Favorite Filter Coffee.
Chef’s specialities include Lava Idli – A cupcake shaped Idli oozing out Sambhar, Coconut Shell Idli, Lemon Rice Dosa, Upma Dosa, Paan Dosa – Dosa with a twist of paan to it. The restaurant offers special thali which comprises of Rasam, Appalam, Pickle, Chapatti, Vegetables, Vada, Rice, Sheera and much more which satisfies one’s hunger.
Apart from filter coffee in Beverages, they offer Cold-pressed juices at value for money prices. The restaurant opens every day at 8 am and accommodates up to 60-80 pax. All in all Vanakkam café offers traditional tasty food without making a hole in one’s pockets.
