Are you tired of the usual North Indian or Gujarati thali options? Well, worry not! At a restaurant near you {if you are working around Lower Parel or Worli} there is a good option of trying a South Indian thali. This is not your usual thali served in the Udupi restaurants which are basically North Indian food but made my South Indians. South High offers a large variety - four types of vegetables, dosa, Malabar paratha, and puris as bread options. The starters we had were mini medu vadas, idlis and some pakodas.
The puffed brown rice served with rasam and sambar was a great way to end the meal. But there are dessert options as well, you can eat payasam, halwa, and laddoo too. All this for just INR 325 plus taxes. There is an interesting menu with several a la carte items to choose from. If you are an avid non-vegetarian I'd suggest you go for a chicken ghee roast. The quantity is good enough for two to three people to share with their vegetarian thali. And the food here is served on banana leaves that give us a feel of being at a South Indian wedding. The interiors are done up well to give this place a nice quirky vibe.
