What Makes It Awesome

Dramatic decor, a luxury rustic ceiling finish, artistic walls, oh-so-royal bar and good sushi - Taki Taki is an authentic Japanese and a Pan Asian fine-dine nestled in Lower Parel. Take a quick scan of this fine-dine and you'll spot lots of reds/gold and dim lighting - making it ideal for a dinner date or an intimate party. It's really spacious, with their seating divided into an array of zones - private seating, seating for a large group, bar seating area, and the centric seating zone.

I started my dinner with their Tom Yum soup, as it was a little chilly in Mumbai that evening and was really craving something comforting. And if you like spicy flavours - this soup is a good way to begin your meal. Likewise, you can also order their One Pot, the authentic Japanese soup. If you're a vegetarian, you can next order for crispy fried lotus stem, Edamame truffle, wok toast spring green or hazzel baked potato. For our meat-loving folks, you can try their Oriental chicken wings.

At the same time, you can skip the appetizers and opt for little something from their bao selection as well.

If you're a die-hard sushi fan, this place won't disappoint you. Dig right into their sushi classics that include Taki Taki Maki, spicy Tobanjun avocado maki and Boston tofu maki. If you prefer non-vegetarian you can opt for their salmon avocado cream cheese and dragon roll.  Well, if you're a group of friends/family - you can also opt for their sharing platters.

Their main course mainly includes heartwarming curries like Massaman vegetable curry (Thai spicy curry), Katsu curry, Lamb rendang curry, etc. You can also opt for their Salmon teriyaki, braised chicken and wok tossed Sichuan prawns. Lastly, I loved the Sichuan dan dan noodles from their Staples selection. Their other staples include Japanese seafood rice, Phad Thai, classic burnt garlic rice and more.

Pro-Tip

If you're planning to dine at Taki Taki, do not miss out on their desserts. It's okay if you order one less main course, but the desserts here are highly recommended. The plating, the taste and the art - it's a 100/100 for their desserts. I tried their Among The Wood and was almost guilty of ruining the pretty plating by the chef.
