Can you guess what we’re talking about? Yes, it’s Water Kingdom, Mumbai, and turns out, it is Asia’s largest water park. Want all the deets? Read on.

What Makes It Awesome

Do you remember those ads where the lead sang ‘Essel World mein rahunga main, ghar nahi jaunga main’ ecstatically? We went back to those and craved the simpler days. If you want to do that as well, you should head to Essel World Water Kingdom over a weekend or skip work and avail discounts on a weekday.

Touted as one of Asia’s largest theme water parks, it boasts of the largest wave pool in the world, slides that will test you, play pools to help you adopt the philosophy of chill and great food. There are a few restaurants serving multiple cuisines including Tai Pan, Kabab Corner, Hunger Thrill, Oh Mumbai, Dip n Sip, Food Wharf etc. but don’t expect it to be a fine-dining menu. It’s less about judging the food, more about reliving some childhood memories (you know, how fun it was to see that straw float up from the Pepsi glass bottle). Have a scoop from Kwality Walls to finish.

Must-Try Rides: Goofers Lagoon, Bratzone, What A Coaster, The Lagoon, Adventure Amazonia, Wetlantic.

Packages: Start at INR 1,300 for adults; INR 900 for kids and senior citizens.

Timings: 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM (Monday to Sunday)

Pro-Tip

Ditch uncomfy shoes, grab those chappals or sneakers to hop around in an please carry your own swimwear, for simple hygiene purposes. Water Kingdom is best visited with a large group of friends, so go ahead and relive your childhood.
