So the massive 10 years completed nav Chaitanya has come up with their new outlet at Versova. Nav Chaitanya is a casual dining restaurant which serves casual malwani and Maharashtrian cuisine along with seafood, special thali and traditional desserts.
Nav Chaitanya has altogether 2 outlets across Mumbai, i.e Dadar and Versova, we visited Versova outlet which is situated opposite to Versova police station, near the cosmopolitan school, DN Nagar, Versova, Andheri West. The vibes & atmosphere will take you to malwan.
Last week visited this place for having thali for our weekday afternoon lunch. Following are a list of food items which we had here:-
1) Beverages:-
Kokam and solkadhi were the 2 traditional beverages, which we had during our lunch. Kokam was soda-based which was truly refreshing and solkadhi was fabulous like always.
2) Starters:-
We had crap lollypop and tandoori prawns. Both include 6 pieces each and comes with house salad and house pickle. Both were excellent can't compare, both were amazing.
3) Chaitanya's special prawn's thali:-
Famous thali includes prawns fried, masala, bhujna, jawala kismoor, sabji, fish curry, solkadhi with chapati and prawns rice.
4) Chicken special thali:-
This was fabulous thali which includes chicken masala, sagoti rassa, kaleji fry, anda, solkadhi with chapati and chicken biryani
5) Desserts:-
In desserts, we had jackfruit ice-creams which was homemade and the taste was fabulous. Next was ukadiche modak everyone's favourite and my favourite too.
Overall we had a great experience here by having Chaitanya's special thali. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for assal malwani food. This place is just 5 mins walking distance from DN Nagar metro station.
