As part of The Quarter’s artist in residence programme, Indian and international acts perform a pair of one-night-only concerts at the Royal Opera House and Live at the Quarter at which you get to hear them in ways you’ve never heard them before. For the fourth installment of the series, Mumbai-based blues-rock guitarist and composer Blackstratblues aka Warren Mendonsa and his band, which features drummer Jai Row Kavi Official, bassist Adi Mistry and keyboardist Beven Fonseca, will play a special collaborative set at the Royal Opera House with Indian classical musicians, flautist Ashwin Srinivasan and sarangi player Sabir Khan, and vocalist Apeksha Dandekar. Together, they will present tracks from all four of Blackstratblues’s widely acclaimed albums, including the recently-released iTunes India chart-topping The Last Analog Generation, in new arrangements, filled with solos and improvisations that showcase each performer’s forte.
