'Pushpak' is a delightful 'silent' film made in 1987 by Singeetam Srinivasa Rao, the multifaceted director, producer, composer, lyricist and actor. He is credited with having revolutionised south Indian cinema with films that pushed the boundaries of genre and film form. The film will be introduced and discussed by film maker Batul Mukhtiar. Batul studied at FTII, Pune and her work includes a docu-feature '150 Seconds Ago' and a children’s feature 'Lilkee'. Her second children’s feature 'Kaphal' won the National Award for Best Children’s Film and the Golden Elephant for Best Director at the International Children’s Film Festival of India in 2013.
