SOUL CITY is an effort to coalesce the sounds of Soul, Funk, and Disco. Hop by to Bonobo this Saturday as we bring to you The 3Stylers and DJ Uri. The 3Stylers The 3Stylers are a very unique trio based in Mumbai comprising Ryan Sadri, Uri Solanki and Karan Joseph. The trio's musical styles range from Funk, Soul, Blues, Jazz & Electro Swing. Keeping their sets very upbeat and strictly for the dance floor. Although their expressive styles are in an individual setting, the interaction between these group of musicians as a collective is a visual spectacle. These guys are a modern twist on the regular band set up, but the sound the they bring is totally old school. Across various settings, from corporate events to private parties, and once you experience their music, Sunday brunches are never the same. Ryan Sadri (Saxophone) Being one of the country’s leading saxophonists Ryan Sadri has a flair for the live stage. Over the past decade he has performed on every major stage in the country. Unrestricted within national boundaries, he has made his presence known at festivals such as The Java Jazz Festival in Jakarta, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and many renowned venues like London’s Ronnie Scotts Bar. Uri Solanki (Keyboard and Turntables) From getting his first turntables aged 13, in only 2 years Uri Solanki was creating a stir in the London circuit playing Hip-Hop, Disco, Funk and Soul. DJ Uri is the face of the B-Boy DJ’s in India, and takes pride in guiding the rapidly growing Hip-Hop scene across the country. His proficiency on Turntables & Drum-machines has made a number of heads turn, he truly loves playing Jazz, RnB, Funk & Blues. Karan Joseph (Drum Machines) Also known as MADFINGERS, Karan Joseph is leading a new wave of Indian talent who can hold their own on any stage in the world. With honors and distinctions from the Royal School of Music and Trinity College of music A graduate of the Berklee College of Music in Boston, His versatility has been experienced at venues across the country, such as Blue Frog in Mumbai, B Flat, Herbs & Spice, Opus and so on in his home town of Bangalore. As well as Cleaopatras Needle, Smalls, Fat Cat and the Rockwood Music Hall in New York.
