TICKETING LINK COMING SOON More about Karishma Attari: Karishma Attari reviews books, and writes performance pieces for theater. She has a background in theatre, journalism, and literature. She runs Shakespeare For Dummies, a workshop series for everyday adults. Her debut novel, I SEE YOU, published by Penguin Books in 2015 has been optioned by a Bollywood director for its film rights, and its sequel titled DON'T LOOK DOWN was out in December, 2016. This is the first horror novel series published in English in India. She is currently working on a comic novel titled THE WANT DIARIES. I SEE YOU Nothing haunts you like guilt. Seventeen year old Alia is back in Mumbai from exile at an elite boarding school and wants nothing more than to keep it simple. Her new friends and almost-boyfriend have no idea about her true identity and her troubled past. All that stands between her and happiness is Bobby, a malevolent child ghost who has put a sick chill on life at the family villa. When the all-too-familiar symptoms of a haunting return, Alia's double-life is in jeopardy, and simple is no longer an option. She must face up to the dark pact her Bollywood stepfather and brittle mother made. But is she merely collateral or can she square off their debt to redeem the people she loves. DON’T LOOK DOWN: What if the one to betray you was you? Alia may be turning eighteen but (epic birthday parties apart,) age is just a number to her now. She knows no hunger, needs no sleep, and has no human limitations ever since the Change. What’s more, she’s hanging on to her humanity and the people she loves. When a haunting darkness returns to the family villa she is forced to confront old ghosts, chilling secrets – and ultimately, herself. After all, the real price of a deal with the devil is giving up the one thing you were never meant to lose. The fast-paced, poignant sequel to I SEE YOU illuminates that of all the demons we face the most terrifying are those we own.
