Nirvaiir, OrionMusic | Onkar and Nigel x Tansane About the artists - Nigel Rajaratnam is a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist with an incredible musicality, a fabulously versatile skillset and a rare sense of rhythm and harmony and has a lot of ad and film work to his credit apart from his presence on the live music scene. Originally of Sri lankan origin he has been a performing musician for nearly 10 years now and is brilliant on the Piano, the Saxophone, the Guitar and the Melodica. Tansane Tansane is an inquiry, into the combination of characteristic spirits of musical cultures from different eras. Tansane strives, to find new and innovative production and performance techniques to blend together melodies, harmonies and time signatures into a soundscape to create signature sound through avant garde endeavors which showcase the various theories, and subtleties of musicians who have, and continue to pave the way for music to be an artistic reflection of human culture, and one of the few ethereal remnants of creativity in the sands of time that has the listener undertaking a journey through the music, and thereby experiencing it's ability to transform and translate the various nuances of reality. Nirvaiir S Nath Nirvaiir Nath is a visual artist based in Mumbai. Aside from his practice as an artist, he spends a lot of time exploring music of various genres, eras and countries. In his DJ sets, He strings these diverse influences into a cohesive narrative, ranging from dance floor classics to more unconventional cuts that are sure to get the crowd grooving. OrionMusic | Onkar Gupte An admirer and fan of electronic music since an early age, DJing came naturally to Orion and thus he decided to pursue his childhood dream of becoming a professional DJ. Keen ear to always find new material and quality song selection being his strengths, he started his own music podcast to promote Indian Artists and their music. With steadily increasing fan base of his podcast series - Euphonic Frequencies and playing his brand of music at various venue made his repertoire better. The essence of the idea behind Akbar's Court is to give back to the music community by giving upcoming artists a new forward thinking venue to showcase their skills at. Having played one of their first gigs at The Daily, Tansane had the most encouraging environments to debut their music. The other acts on the line up, the venue owner/promoter, the staff and the audience were all genuinely supportive of the music, kind and thoughtful. It was such a phenomenally inspiring open dialogue that Tansane feels it's now their turn to give back to upcoming artists and give them this magnificently receptive space to explore their artistic sensibilities and shall be playing the supporting opening and closing sets for the guest artists under the spotlight.
