O Pedro's 3rd Edition of Freestyle Feasts takes you on a culinary journey, highlighting the ingredients introduced to Indian cuisine after the Portuguese arrival on our shores in the 16th Century.
Did you know that everything from staples that we can't today do without like potatoes, tomatoes, cheese and even varieties of chilies were introduced by the Portuguese? O Pedro has curated a 6-course menu that takes these humble (yet essential!) ingredients and weaves them into dishes that celebrate their essence.
Savour dishes like smoked bandal gnocci with a potato crumble (bandal cheese is a particular type of smoked cheese that imparts a rich, smokey flavour to any dish it's used in), Padron chilies in 3-cheese fondue, corn pancakes served with an interesting black bean pesto, plus more intriguing dishes that you'll explore once you're there. For thirst quenchers, there's creative ocean-inspired cocktails in refreshing fruity flavours like the cashew negroni and kokum fizz. Each course shines the spotlight on a particular ingredient and pays homage to the culinary influence it wields.
The meal is priced at INR 3,499 for 6 courses with 6 cocktails or INR 2,500 for 6 courses with 2 non-alcoholic drinks.
