What Makes It Awesome?

Kitab Khana, which is just a short walk from the infamous Flora Fountain (Fort, Mumbai) holds a hidden gem that not many people know of. Nestled in the corner of the store is a dreamy, rustic café named 'Food For Thought Café that serves a plethora of drinks, appetizers and even some mouth-watering desserts for those with a sweet tooth.

The concept of a cafeteria in a library is a highly amusing concept in itself add that the amazing food offered here makes it a unique experience indeed.

I'd ordered the 'Cream Cheese Toast' for appetizers. Nothing can possibly go wrong with crispy, toasted bread, layered with silky cream cheese and served with a generous load of capers, green and black olives- and trust me, nothing did. This one's sure tingle your taste buds and is a textural feast.

They also offer the 'Crispy Thai Salad' for those looking for a healthier alternative or those craving for some Thai flavors- OR BOTH! This dish is flavored with fragrant lemongrass and includes lettuce, succulent water chestnuts, and an assortment of thinly sliced exotic vegetables and spices that provide a burst of freshness in the first bite itself!
But this is a *must visit* for everybody who loves books and is wanting to taste some refreshing and exotic dishes, and the freshly made desserts that they're well known for! Looking forward my next visit.

What Could Be Better?

Although the food was delicious, the quantity to price ratio is on the higher side for those on a budget. The serving sizes are just enough for one person.
