What Makes It Awesome?

Ostaad: Get ready to relish on the delicacies from Central Asia at Lower Parel. A fine dine truly to its name, it offers a wide range of cuisines from Afghan, Iran and other parts of Central Asia.

The interiors are simple yet classy with shades of golden and black and well-lit atmosphere apt for fine dining. Ostaad has an interesting set of a menu which is divided into 3 sections - Vegetarian, Jain, and Non-Vegetarian.

My personal favourites from Ostaad are:
-APPETIZERS:
Zafrani Tandoori Jenga which is Saffron infused tiger prawns cooked in secret spices.
Adana Kebab is a must try for lamb lovers, mutton chops marinated in red hot Chilli flakes, garlic, and paprika. This was very good.
Spiced Prawns With Oliver Skewers is also a good option if you love grilled prawns.

-MAIN COURSE:
Karacha Ghost is a brown colored gravy of morsels of lamb cooked in dum with special spices drizzled with saffron and ghee.
Iranian Prawn Curry is jumbo prawns cooked in onion and tomato based gravy tasted very good.
Both the main course tasted excellent with the slices of bread: Taftan and Afghan Kahmeeri

-DESSERTS:
Baklava is one of my favourite when it comes to Central Asian cuisine, chopped nuts wrapped between layers of filo and drizzled with honey was good.

Aish al Saraya: The Lebanese cream slice smoothed in thick custard and baked must have dessert

Amongst the drinks , do try the Iranian Berries Sangria and Fruitose in Cocktails And in mocktails, Apple and Mint Mule was very good.

My overall experience was excellent, delicious food with wonderful hospitality sums up my experience.
