Being perched in a wooden cottage in the middle of an apple orchard and in the tranquil village of Kalga lies a homestay that offers magnificent views. Though the place doesn't have a name, it can be spotted easily since the number of cottages is few and all lie in the same lane
A stream gurgles through this wood and stone Homestay and the view from here are impeccable. You can watch the villagers work in the fields that are flanked by the snowy Himalayas. The only sounds you can hear are of that of wind rustling the leaves of the trees and the birds singing.
The food here is an entirely organic affair and we were lucky to taste the edible wild mushrooms and herbs for lunch. The chamomile here is grown in the herb garden and the tea is indeed heavenly.
The green pastures surrounding this homestay are gorgeous and in spite of spending a few days in Kalga, it would make everyone wonder if they can stay there forever.
