What Makes It Awesome?

Delhi highway! The restaurant with the perfect Tag line.

The Delhi highway is another outlet located in lower Parel. The restaurant is best known for its amazing Indian cuisine. The proper Delhi style food is available here.

A pure vegetarian restaurant has a nice and cosy Ambiance. Also has a drink counter for preparing the beautiful creations like lassi. It has a sitting capacity of around 80-90 people and serves the fastest food. Currently, they have the best thali at really amazing prices.

The complete meal includes:
A Mocktail (welcome drink)
2 chaat
6 starters
1 Dal
3 veggies
1 salad
2 desserts
And Delhi Style Lassi.

The taste is home-like and will give you the feel of Indian food. The menu is changing often to give the best experience. We had an amazing variety of meal and we tried,

Watermelon mojito: The chilled mojito as welcome drink is a good way to start. The mint and lemon had added good taste.

Traditional Delhi chaats were served in individual portions. The Bhalla papdi chat and Bajra puri Chat was in our menu. And there was no regret in having it. The curd was chilled and was in good proportion. Out of 2, our favourite was banjara puri chaat. The nice crisp puri had all the flavours inside.

They also serve starters in single portion basis. All the starters were amazing. The spicy and perfectly textured kababs and tikkas were very good. The kababs were soft and melted in the mouth. We had Kale chane Aur Hari Mirch ki Tikki, Kamal kakdi ki Tikki, Naramdil kabab, Veg seek kabab, Paneer seekh kabab, Pesto paneer tikka. The pesto in paneer was prominent and the soft paneer was going well with the pesto marination.

For the main course, Dal Delhi Highway was so far the best dal tastes. Creamy and smooth. In vegetarian main course gravy, Paneer Lahori (Rich creamy and all spiced red gravy along with the soft), Veg Handi (all fresh and crunchy veggies chopped and cooked in red gravy), Amritsari Pindi chole (Delhi style cooked chole with allspice) was there in a thali. This was served along with the multi-grain kulcha and roti. Both were going well.

Hyderabadi Biryani: The best biryani had so far. The rice was cooked properly and the flavours made the biryani more colourful and spicy. This tasty biryani can also be taken along with gravy.

They do have nice desserts. The Indian desserts are always good and here it was properly prepared and sweetness was perfect. We had Jalebi and Gajar halwa. Both were just homelike. And was just delightful to have it at the end.

Delhi highway special Lassi: The meal is incomplete without this sweet lassi. The thick and full of dry fruit lassi was made heavenly. The rose fragrance was mind-blowing. The presentation was good. The clay pot looked pretty. Must try.

Overall had a great time with family. thanks to the management for hospitality and delicious food. Special thanks to their staff for really fast service.
