Bored of the usual, too-cramped gig venues in town? There’s a new venue in town, Above The Habitat that is changing the scene.

Some Breathing Space

Brought to you by the people behind The Habitat {earlier known as Tuning Fork} in Khar is a new space called Above The Habitat. This space which is purely dedicated to the performing arts, open mic nights and music gigs is a 140-seater space and can take up to 180 people in the audience, standing.

Launched only about 10 days ago, Above The Habitat started with a three-artist gig and has events planned such as Anirban Dasgupta, Atul Khatri and more coming up.

What’s awesome about this space is that they also want to encourage artists to become stakeholders in Above The Habitat, giving them a much greater share than just their earnings from performance.

Support The Scene

You can expect to see several artists who have grown in the comedy, poetry and music circuit at The Habitat to know have featured performances at this newer, bigger venue.

Also, unlike the Habitat, Above The Habitat will not have a focus on food and drinks; in fact, there will be several events with BYOB as a concept. No more having your performance disrupted by shadows of servers and sounds of shushed orders, you.

So, We're Saying...

We are quite excited to enjoy culture in a new habitat, all while having some breathing room as well. See you at the next gig?
