Institute of Creative Excellence school has schooling and training for the media and entertainment industry. Founded by Balaji Telefilms, they are proficient and updated with the latest learning methodologies like Instructor Lead Training (ILT), Computer Based Training (CBT) and Web Based Training (WBT). The courses cover specialisations in Acting, Modelling, Cinematography, Direction, Editing, Production, Scriptwriting, Sound and VFX.

Fees: The Beginner's course starts at INR 60,000

Whistling Woods International

Whistling Woods International is a film and communication institute set up by filmmaker Subhash Ghai. As part of its Actors’ Studio, the institute offers two types of courses – B.A. in acting (a three-year course) and an advanced diploma in acting (a two-year course). The campus is in Film City Complex, Goregaon East.

Fees: The BA in Acting will cost you INR 14,00,000 and the Advanced Diploma will cost you INR 13,00,000 

Anupam Kher's Actor Prepares

Actor Prepares by actor-director Anupam Kher is one of the premium acting schools in the city. Here, there are many types of courses in acting {as well as writing} offered such as a diploma, part-time courses, weekend workshops, and certificate courses. They have classes taken by in-house faculty, and visiting members of the faculty, even including Bollywood actors.

Mumbai Film Academy offers an acting and presentation course which can be taken in three formats – as a diploma course which is 6 months long, a certificate course of 3 months and a part-time weekend course of 3 months.

Kishore Namit Kapoor

Kishore Namit Kapoor, actor and acting trainer has a widely established acting school called the KNK Acting Institute. Well-known actors such as Priyanka Chopra, Kareena Kapoor and Hrithik Roshan have trained under him, as well as television actors. They have an 18-week course with different modules.

The Drama School Mumbai

The Drama School Mumbai is a prestigious institute located in Girgaum. Founded in 2013, the aim is to build storytellers that can learn to perform on stage, develop and stage plays and be able to create new material in the world of theatre.

The Jeff Goldberg studio in Mumbai is the place for people to learn different aspects of film and theatre, including acting, directing and scriptwriting. The acting program here takes place over a nine-month duration, which is further divided into three levels – foundation, intermediate and advanced. You can choose to do one, two or all. The studio is located in Khar West.

Barry John

Barry John Acting Studio is one of the most popular acting school chains in India, and you may know of the founder as the person under whose guidance Shah Rukh Khan came into the limelight!
The studio in Mumbai is located in Andheri West, near Fun Republic. Their most popular course is the Certificate in Acting which is a 3-month programme.

Fees: The Diploma course will cost you INR 2,95,000
