A classic crime story by the Queen of Crime, Agatha Christie, Mousetrap has been a theatrical sensation since it opened its doors to the public in 1952. With over 28,000 shows over the last 60 years, the play is easily the longest continually running English play in history.
The play is a thriller that takes you on a journey that ends in a plot twist. One that every audience member is asked to keep a secret so that future play-watchers don't get a spoiler alert. Shhh! The entire play is set in an English country manor house and the period setting and the quaint atmosphere certainly transports you to a different time.
During the play, seven strangers are stranded at the beautiful Monkswood Manor during a heavy snowstorm. In the midst of this, a policeman unexpectedly arrives with the suspicion that one among them may be a killer on the loose. However, before he can begin his investigation, one of the guests ends up dead. It's up to the detective to figure out who the killer might be before someone else ends up dead.
We're all too excited that the play is coming to Mumbai and definitely can't wait to dive right into the world of Agatha Christie's thrilling tale of murder, intrigue and as always fascinating characters that explore the human psyche.
