What Makes It Awesome

The bylanes of Kala Ghoda are full of gastronomical delights. You'll find roadside stalls selling kebabs, you'll find bakeries doing bread and desserts right, and you'll fine fine-diners that lure you with their decor (and aroma!) to come in and have a jolly good time.

Have you eaten at Americano yet? Because if you haven't, we tell you why you must. The restaurant sources the best ingredients to cook you a nourishing meal. The pizza dough is fermented for four days to give it a unique texture and flavour. The pasta is made from scratch, and so are the hot sauces and ricotta. We trusted Chef Alex with his specialties and started with the sweet corn ribs. They're cut into long wedges, and fried until they curl. They're then generously dusted with the special barbecue spice mix. Next up was the spicy (boneless) chicken wings. It's crispy, with the right amount of spice, and the chicken is so well-cooked. With every bite of it, you end up asking for more.

Go on, judge our appetite, but who on earth misses out on the Kashmiri Morels when at Americano? It's a warm and hearty quinoa salad, made using garden peas and some Swiss chard. Its also got some Himachali herbs specially sourced from the State. What's also a must-try here is the Kejriwal Pizza. We really don't care how weird the name is because the taste and innovation clearly wins our taste-bud's love. The pizza has a sunny-side-up at the center, and is garnished with green chillies on top. Disclaimer: Have it only if you're okay with 9/10 on the spice meter.

For desserts, we tried the classic Tiramisu Americano. And we're so glad we did, because endings haven't been more wholesome than this. So if you're in or even around Kala Ghoda, this is one restaurant you wouldn't want to miss out on. Trust us. Here, its all about the food, and easygoing conversations with people who matter. And the restaurant sets that vibe for you.

Pro-Tip

They're good with (and known for) their pastas too. Make sure you don't leave without trying that!
