One fine rainy afternoon, while strolling down the busy Lokhandwala Market, I came across this very colourful store which has cute li'l umbrellas decorating the window display and a very gorgeous dark blue Maheshwari saree and it was love at first sight for me.
I walked into this store to find a treasure trove of handwoven and natural fabric goodness of which I have been always a fan of. I was delighted at this find of mine because it's not something I really expected in Andheri - Lokhandwala. I bought the beautiful Maheshwari saree which initially drew me to the store, a Khadi saree and a few dupattas. The owners {really sweet and always smiling} were present at the store and helped me make my purchase.
On billing they also told me to send in a picture of me wearing the products I purchased so they could upload same on their Facebook and Instagram page. "We mostly put up client pictures and do very few model shoots," they said. Their sarees and dupattas are colourful, creative and unique and the owners have detailed knowledge about their creations. Promising to come back for more, I requested the store owner if I could take some pictures which they agreed to! I literally stepped out with a haply feeling and returned home with the hand-woven treasures I bought!
Handwoven dupattas start at INR 1,000 and sarees start at INR 2,800.
