Covid-19 has been tough. It's been tough not just for us, but also for our animal friends. And none have been hit as badly as the stray animals on the street. That's where AMTM or Animals Matter To Me comes in. This Mumbai-based non-profit has been working towards animal welfare and their rehabilitation and care from abandonment, neglect and animal cruelty.
The organisation works towards improving the lives of animals in a variety of ways from facilitating adoptions to providing medical care, rehabilitation, sterilization, feeding programs and more. Unfortunately, the organisation has lost its original rehab centre in Malad the wake of the Covid-19 crisis. That means that they are currently unable to provide much-needed care to these animals in trouble. They have 3 Projects in place at the moment that you can contribute to. The first is a New Animal Rehab Centre in Malad from which they can resume their full-range of operations and provide much-needed care to animal rescues. The second is feeding of stray animals during Covid-19 - they've fed over 80k animals through the lockdown! The last is the construction and raising funds for their under-construction Animal Sanctuary in Kolad.
Here's how you can help: Donate to their projects and help them and the animals they care for during tough times. They are a registered charitable organization in India and the registration number is F-41718. Lastly, adopt, adopt, adopt!
It's a critical time for these animals in need. For more information on how you can help, do reach out to Animals Matter To Me. And if you are interested in donating to their causes, you can do so via their website. You can also reach them via Whatsapp on +91 9920737737
