Anoushka Shankar Is Playing In Mumbai Next Weekend, So We've Cancelled All Our Plans
What Is It?
Who Is It For?
Classical music isn’t for everyone, but most would find themselves enjoying Anoushka Shankar playing her sitar as her music is often with a hint of indie in it.
Why Should I Go?
If you are exhausted of waiting for a band, standing for hours bet might be time to relax with a sit-down concert where you will be close to the stage, and see the artist playing too. Shanmukhananda Hall is especially a good place to do so, with so many lovely classical concerts having been performed there earlier.
Shiraz: The Romance Of India is a movie based on the building of the Taj Mahal and it has recently been restored, and Anoushka Shankar has added the music score to this previously silent British-Indian-German movie. The music and the movie itself are going to be premiered at the event.
Anything Else?
The tickets are likely to be sold out sooner than you can say ‘Let’s go’. You should get yours soon, and have a magical November evening listening to her music.
