This New All-Day Diner In Kala Ghoda Will Take You Back To The Victorian Era With Its Decor

    Ten-Second Takeaway

Kala Ghoda gets another all-day dining cafe in its neighborhood, and we’ve got all the details. Read on to know more.

    Tell Me More

Over the last weekend, Kala Ghoda saw the opening of a new eatery, Bake House Cafe. In case you miss it, it’s right behind Rhythm House and opposite the Synagogue. A lane full of memories and history, the cafe prides itself on its Victorian decor. Started off  by the people behind Carter Blue {not too far away from Bake House}, at this cafe the decor is chic, lined with funky murals and if you’re all about Instagramming where you eat, you won’t be disappointed.

    Chow Down

Here’s another cafe in the vicinity of galleries and law firms that will be serving all-breakfast. In the mood for scrambled eggs and mushroom at 3pm? Hop or skip to Bake House Cafe. The menu serves your basic cafe-esque dishes, serving your home-made cut potatoes, cheesy garlic crack bread {for the health-conscious}, home-made tacos and more.

The non-vegetarian counterparts don’t disappoint either – they’ve got butter garlic prawns, BBQ chicken pizza {thin crust}, or the highly indulgent meaty pizza {topped with salami, chicken and sausages}. If you’re a meat champion, then they also have a beef stew with Kafir lime served with a side of burnt garlic rice {INR 395}.

All about the desserts? Try out the chocolate mud cake, tiramisu, or the croissant bread pudding. Though we found the menu to be diverse, the prices aren’t exactly pocket-friendly, however one can manage within INR 1,000 {cost for two that is exclusive of taxes}.

    So, We're Saying...

Bake House Cafe looks magnificent from the outside and is equally pretty from the inside. The cafe, which opened to the public on August 13, stays open till midnight, so be sure you head there soon.
