As reported by Times Now here, the Maharashtra government has given its nod to the Versova-Bandra sea link {VBSL} project. And thanks to this, getting from Versova to SoBo a.k.a. Worli will be as quick as just 12 minutes. Read on to know more.

What Is It?

Your Mumbai travelling dream is coming true! The Versova-Bandra sealink will finally come to fruition after it was given the green signal to the much-awaited project. The nod comes eight years after the State Cabinet Committee on Infrastructure (SCCI) cleared it. The main four by four-lane wide road will be 9.60 kms long and the cable stretch with be 0.30 kms long. The toll will be the same as the existing sea link. There will be connectors at Bandra, Otters Club, Juhu Link Road and Versova Link Road. Toll plazas will be present at Bandra, Juhu-Koliwada and at Nana-Nani Park as stated here in this report.

As per this report, the proposed sea link will continue north-wards, from the Bandra-end of the 5.6-km Bandra-Worli sea link (BWSL) {which means getting to SoBo will be an easy peasy task}. Can you imagine how convenient the commute within suburbs will become? Not only that, the north and south gap will also be filled with this construction. S.V. Road and Linking Road are probably heaving a sigh of relief as we write this.

So, We're Saying...

We’re super excited about this move and we sincerely hope it doesn’t take too long for this sealink to become a reality. Until then, we’ll just dodge the Mumbai traffic will dreaming about this.
